Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Currency Converter mobile application (the “App”) operated by Barakat (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Currency Converter is a mobile application that displays indicative exchange rates between world currencies and performs conversion calculations based on those rates. The App is provided free of charge and is supported by advertisements.

3. Informational Use Only — No Financial Advice

The App is provided strictly for informational and educational purposes. The exchange rates shown:

  • Are sourced from third-party providers and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.
  • Do not reflect the rates you will actually receive from any bank, broker, money transfer service, or currency exchange.
  • Do not include fees, spreads, commissions, or margins that real-world providers add.
  • Must not be relied upon for trading, investment, remittance, accounting, tax, or any other financial decision.

The App does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always verify current rates with a qualified financial professional or authoritative source before making any financial decision. You use the rate information in the App entirely at your own risk.

4. User Conduct

You agree to use the App only for its intended informational purpose. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its systems.
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App or its content.
  • Scrape, republish, or otherwise redistribute the exchange rate data displayed by the App.

5. Advertisements

The App displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using the App, you acknowledge that ads will be displayed. Ad content is determined by Google and is not controlled by us. If you find an ad inappropriate, you may report it directly to Google through the ad’s controls.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, icons, and original content, is the property of Barakat and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Exchange rate data is owned by its respective providers.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal devices for personal, non-commercial use.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
  • Exchange rates will be current, accurate, complete, or delivered without delay.
  • Rate data will be available at all times (network or provider outages may occur, and the App may fall back to stale bundled data).
  • The App will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Barakat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, savings, investments, or financial opportunities, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the App.
  • Any reliance on exchange rates, conversion results, or other information shown by the App, including rates that are delayed, inaccurate, or outdated.
  • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your local data.
  • Any interruption or cessation of the App’s functionality.

You acknowledge that any financial decision you make based on information shown in the App is made solely at your own risk.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in your jurisdiction of residence, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
